VinylSwiper ("we", "us", or "our") is a vinyl record discovery app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Analytics data (anonymous)
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous usage data, including:

• App interactions — swipes, audio plays, filters applied, store visits
• In-app actions — records added to Crate, share events, buy link taps
• Session data — listening duration, track skips, completion rates
• Device type and iOS version (no personally identifiable information)

This data is collected in aggregate and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Feedback form (optional)
If you choose to submit feedback through the app, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your message

This information is used solely to respond to your feedback and is not shared with third parties.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your location
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone
• We do not create user accounts or store passwords
• We do not collect payment information (the app is free)
• We do not sell your data to third parties

3. Data Stored on Your Device

VinylSwiper stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Your saved Crate (favorited records) — stored via SwiftData
• Seen records — so you're never shown the same record twice
• App usage stats (swipe count, listen time, streak) — stored in UserDefaults
• Cached record catalog data — refreshed periodically

This data never leaves your device except as described in this policy.

4. Third-Party Services

VinylSwiper integrates with the following third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage analytics. Google Privacy Policy
• Record store websites — when you tap a buy link, you are directed to the store's website. Their privacy policies apply from that point.
• Discogs, Spotify, YouTube — external links opened in Safari. Their respective privacy policies apply.

5. Children's Privacy

VinylSwiper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
